Ehren Kruger and the writing team of Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are in talks to write the next TRANSFORMERS movie. Kurtzman and Orci wrote this summer's blockbuster and the upcoming JJ Abrams STAR TREK movie, while Kruger is best known for writing duties on SCREAM 3 and THE RING TWO.
Director Michael Bay, star Shia LaBeouf and producers Tom DeSanto, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Don Murphy are all returning for TRANSFORMERS 2, as is executive producer Steven Spielberg.
The trade, The Hollywood Reporter also said that the three are working on NIGHTLIFE, a DreamWorks serial-killer project that sees Kruger adapting a Thomas Perry novel, with Kurtzman and Orci producing along with Neal Moritz.
